Here's a picture of one shelf of my designer showcase at the recent Bead and Gem show in Brisbane.

Designer Showcase

Beadzoo Angela is happy to have her jewellery on display in the designer showcase at the Australian Bead and Gem Shows in each state. So far this year it has travelled with the show to Adelaide and Melbourne. New pieces have been added to be showcased at the upcoming Brisbane Bead and Gem show, 30 June to 2nd July. Angela hopes that people like her antique trade bead jewellery.
Angela is excited to be attending the show on the Saturday and looks forward to networking with bead lovers, and having fun shopping for beads and lampworking supplies.

Upcoming Exhibitions

Beadzoo Angie has just sent her entry for the Bead and Gem Show Juried competition: It is an ensemble of matching necklace, earrings, bracelet and brooch in the very dangly Beadzoo style, theme is Purplebloo.

She is also honoured to have been chosen to participate in a jewellery exhibition in America at the L.J. Singer Gallery in Palm Springs, CA. It is the Art & Design Online's 1st Member Show! The show will take place on November 14th - 19th.

Husbands Horror

l have been addicted to beads for approximately 30 years, much to my husbands horror. My supplies were so large, he even purchased a sideboard for me to store my precious beads in. Over the years we have had to travel around Australia a lot because of his work, and sometimes we were in remote parts of our large country, so therefore l would have to shop like a possessed woman to take these supplies with me. Our children have grown and have started their own families, so now l have a bedroom dedicated to my craft. My husband still goes into shock if a craft show comes anywhere near our little country town. Some day l will have a sale, but where would l begin ? No. can't ever see that happening

My Jewellery and its Influences

I have just completed making a selection of designs that I showcased at the Bead and Gem Show in Brisbane that was held at the RNA Showgrounds on the 21st -24th July.I also managed the 20 designer showcases.This was a beautiful experience.As I had this opportunity I wanted to focus on showcasing African Gemstones and Asian Pearls revealing the influences the east has had on my choices of pearls . I have used,carved coral,and torquoises in aqua,mid lime greem,faceted black onyx,and large faceted oval and square crystals,amazonite faceted, and Rose Quartz. I have used irregular shapes and combined them with potato pearls -lime green
aqua and bronzey brown colours. I have included clasps and large pearls set in silver.

I lived and worked in India for 12 years, and as a way of relaxing I would lose myself in the bead,silver,& gemstone bazaars.I have always loved the corals of the Tibetans, the faceted gemstonesand silver of the Indians and
